MLPC: My Little Party Cannon

My Little Party Cannon. The only working Party Cannon IRL (that I know of...). It may not be big enough to create parties, but it sure can start them!

I'm a 23 year old electrician with no real art experience. Well >.>, one year of 3D modeling (3Ds max) and a basic animation class in high school (read '7 years ago'). But other than that no real art experience......nope ....-.-; ( I can't draw...T.T)
Anyway.....
After seeing someone create a real working bass cannon on EQD, I realized something. "Why has no one tried to re-create a working party cannon?", I said to myself. A quick google search confirmed my thoughts on the matter.
A few weeks of intense planning (read 'procrastination'), $40 worth of supplies (2 boxes of party poppers, colored oven bake modeling clay, copper plumbing supplies), and 5 hours of work later (including bake time). The FIRST working party cannon was born. I have been partying ever since.

Here is my letter.



Dear everyone,

It is my hope to possibly inspire others to create more art, My Little Pony or otherwise, because creating art is as easy as thinking 'What If?'. When you watch a show like MLP or any other piece of art, game, music, movie, or story that might inspire you and think: 'What if...?' Or 'Why not...?' Or 'That would be soooo awesome if....!'. Every time that thought or idea pops into your head; you have just created art! Just because no one else can see it, that doesn't make your creation any less 'real'.
Every time you think up an idea for a fanfiction, picture an epic battle/ beautiful scenery in your head, read or watch a story and imagine it happening differently, think of a funny joke/idea for a meme, or any idea in general. You have just created something unique and wonderful. The only difference between YOU and ANY artist (musician, animator, sculptor, poet, writer, game designer, etc.)........... is a choice.
"Will I take the time to remember or share this idea? Will I put in the effort (if not now then later) to bring this to life?". Until you write/draw your idea on paper then that's all it is; a thought. All art was once a thought, but until you bring that thought to life, no one but yourself can enjoy it.
All it takes to bring your creations to life is time, effort, and a smidge of "IMAGINAAATION". It doesn't take talent or experience to create something wonderful. Besides, if you WANT talent and experience, then all it takes to achieve those are the same two things it takes to do anything in life. Time and Effort (TnE).
So to all of you that HAVE and/or WILL put in the TnE to bring your creations to life, THANK YOU!!
To the many people who said "What If...?" And followed that with the TnE to bring that thought to reality:
"What if ____ fell in love with____?"
"What if I found Rainbow Dash in a box?"
"What would ponies look like in socks?"
"What if there was an adventure story where Luna was Stuck on the Moon?"
"Wouldn't it be cool if there was a fighting game staring the Mane 6?"
(*see's pony howling) "hmm, I wonder what that pony is thinking right now?.......DISCOOORRD!" *hums to himself*
"Why isn't there a blog where everyone can get their Daily dose of Equestria?"
*Pauses video* "Hey, that background pony has a Derp face! What would be the perfect name for her? Oh, I know! I'll call you ...... ".

And to the little girl playing with pony dolls and watching a show about pastel colored ponies. The little girl who thought "What if there was an evil pony sealed in the moooon!? The ponies will become friends and defeat her with a giant rainbow! BOOOOM!!! Hehehehe*giggles*!"
To the same little girl who created a world and kept that vision while growing up. To the Artist that took the TIME to perfect her art and reputation enough to get noticed by the owners of her favorite toys/show. To the Leader who showed us that not only can a dying series be revived, it can be made into something so powerful that it might start a social revolution. And to the Teacher who, after exerting such a monumental EFFORT, taught us one of the most important life lessons imaginable; Friendship Is Magic.
